Description
The State Inspector examines motor vehicles to ensure compliance with state highway, emission, and governmental requirements. The role performs multi-point inspections, checks mechanical, electrical, safety, and maintenance systems, approves or denies inspections, issues stickers, advises service consultants, maintains inspection records, and performs oil changes and fluid checks. Applicants must hold a current and valid State Vehicle Inspector license, a valid driver’s license, automotive repair and maintenance knowledge, and the ability to pass a drug test and background screen; the position also requires willingness to work Saturdays and the ability to perform physically demanding work.
