Description
Inova Alexandria Hospital is hiring a full-time Stationary Engineer 1 to work 40 hours weekly on a stable schedule with availability for emergency shifts. The role performs chemical analysis and chemical balancing for boilers, cooling towers, and closed-loop systems; maintains, repairs, cleans, and paints plant equipment; responds to plant emergencies; and follows safety, infection-control, and OSHA procedures. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, technical maintenance training, two years of operating-engineer or related experience, HVAC and mechanical background, boiler, generator, or mechanical-maintenance experience, and military experience. Low-pressure steam certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
