Description
Melwood is hiring a Stationary Engineer Apprentice to work under experienced engineers and maintenance personnel while gaining hands-on experience operating, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing building mechanical systems. The role includes monitoring boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, generators, and other equipment; performing inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance documentation, and basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks. The position offers M-F 8am–5pm hours, pays $22–$30 with semi-annual raises, and provides on-the-job training. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and the role is intended as an employment opportunity for an individual with a disability.
