Description
The YSTAY Teacher works within one Manchester middle or high school to provide tutoring, academic and social-emotional support, life-skills and character-development lessons, referrals, and progress reporting for 20–25 at-risk students. The role manages the assigned classroom, coordinates with school and YMCA staff, supports alumni and other students, participates in adventure trips, and helps implement fundraising and community-service projects. It is a full-time position requiring a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, counseling, or a related field, previous youth-development experience, and the ability to tutor at an 8th-grade level, with benefits including health, dental, life, and disability insurance.
