Symetra is hiring a full-time or hybrid telecommuting STD Case Manager to make timely, accurate, and customer-focused decisions on short-term disability, statutory disability insurance, and absence-management claims. The role involves gathering clinical, vocational, employer, and financial information; comparing it to applicable contracts and procedures; documenting claims; communicating with internal and external stakeholders; and maintaining compliance and operational metrics. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent work experience, with three or more years of STD claims experience preferred, and must be authorized to work in the United States. Compensation is $22.38–$37.32 per hour plus eligibility for an annual bonus program.
