OneAmerica is hiring a Short-Term Disability Claims Examiner to adjudicate short-term disability claims, manage case files, interpret policy provisions, calculate benefits, process payments and adjustments, support subrogation, coordinate with long-term disability examiners and technical resources, and communicate with claimants, policyholders, and physicians. The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, at least five years of short-term disability claims experience with first-pay authority, strong customer service and calculation skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word. The position is hybrid in Indianapolis, Indiana, with Portland, Maine candidates potentially eligible for remote work, and offers $25.96–$43.27 per hour plus an annual incentive program and benefits.
