ArcelorMittal Calvert is seeking a highly experienced individual to take on a leading role in developing and implementing processes across various phases of projects, particularly focusing on furnace operations. This role involves ensuring optimal furnace temperature control, providing training to team members, minimizing loss from quality defects, and maintaining equipment performance. The successful candidate will also contribute to overall operational efficiency, support maintenance troubleshooting, and uphold strict adherence to safety protocols.

basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
strong operational knowledge in an industrial environment
developing processes and procedures
Operating and monitoring an annealing furnace
providing training to team members
react to quality defects
maintaining equipment performance and reliability
ensuring efficiency with operation of line equipment
support/perform inspections and assistance in maintenance troubleshooting
qualified (or ability to qualify in) all lift equipment including cranes and forklifts
commitment to safety processes and procedures
strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of experience in production in an industrial setting.
2+ years of experience in operating a furnace.
Already a Step-Up Shift Coordinator or equivalent managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a step-up manager.
Experience in metals industry furnace operation.
