Description
The Central Service Technician supports perioperative and procedural care by decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, testing, packaging, storing, and tracking reusable surgical instruments and equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of sterile processing experience or eligibility for HSPA/CBSPD certification, and certification through IAHSCMM or CBSPD within one year of hire. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of sterilization modalities, disinfection levels, computerized tracking systems, human anatomy, surgical terminology, infection control, microbiology, and safety and risk control.
