Description
The Sterile Processing Department Technician II processes, decontaminates, sterilizes, distributes, and documents medical instruments and equipment used in patient-care areas. The role also handles patient-charge input, inventory control, equipment operation, infection-control standards, and training support. It requires an H.S. diploma or equivalent, two years of hospital or acute-care surgical experience, and a CSPDT, CST, or CRCST certification. The position is covered by a SEIU collective bargaining agreement, pays $25.000–$33.480 per hour, and includes rotating weekend shifts.
