Description
The Sterile Processing Technician prepares, cleans, wraps, and sterilizes surgical instruments and supplies according to AAMI standards and manufacturer instructions. The role maintains inventory, orders supplies, tests sterilizers and biological indicators, maintains sterilization records, accounts for instruments, and supports turnover between operating-room cases. The position requires a high school education or equivalent, two years of instrument technician experience or equivalent, a Certified Sterile Processing Certificate, and current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
