Description
The Sterile Processing Technician prepares and maintains surgical instruments and supplies, manages inventory, orders supplies, tests sterilizers, maintains sterilization records, and performs cleaning, wrapping, and sterilization using steam, Sterrad, Steris, and automated endoscope reprocessing. The role also accounts for instruments, assists with operating-room turnover, and follows aseptic and sterilization standards. It requires a high school education or equivalent, two years of instrument technician experience or equivalent, a Certified Sterile Processing Certificate, and current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with pay of $16.50 to $26.00 per hour and benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.
