Description
The Sterile Processing Technician cleans, inspects, packages, sterilizes, labels, stores, and maintains inventory of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. The role follows sterilization policies, operates sterilizers and ultrasonic washers, performs biological monitoring, checks package integrity, and documents instrument counts. It reports to the Operating Room Supervisor and requires sterilization knowledge, frequent judgment, English communication, and the ability to lift and carry heavy items.
