Description
The Sterile Processing Technician processes, sterilizes, and assembles surgical and hospital instruments and equipment; distributes patient-care supplies; prepares instrument sets and trays; performs diagnostic testing on sterilization equipment; evaluates instruments for function and safety; and supports operating-room, recovery, outpatient endoscopy, and central sterile services. The role works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and reports to the perioperative services manager.
