Description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, processing, sterilizing, and restocking reusable surgical instruments, trays, supplies, and equipment; assembling instrument trays and packs; operating sterilizers; documenting sterilization loads; building surgical case carts; and responding to requests from operating rooms and preoperative or post-anesthesia care units. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of Central Service experience, and a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification within the first year of hire.
