Description
The Sterile Processing Technician II decontaminates, assembles, sterilizes, documents, stores, rotates, and distributes reusable surgical and clinical instruments and implants. The role operates autoclaves, hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers, and heat sealers; maintains sterilization records and inventory; troubleshoots equipment and instrument issues; and supports other technicians. Required qualifications include a high school education or equivalent, specialized sterile-processing or surgical-technician training, one year of sterile-processing experience, computer and complex-machinery skills, medical-terminology knowledge, and current Sterile Processing Technician certification. The position pays $27.45–$46.68 per hour.
