The Store Manager independently leads a retail department, handles customer concerns, develops employees, makes decisions on complaints and requests, reviews sales and shrinkage figures, ensures product availability and inventory accuracy, implements seasonal displays and service concepts, and represents the company internally and externally. The role requires retail or wholesale experience, leadership experience, knowledge of merchandise-management systems, strong communication and decisiveness, and interest in the hardware-store product range.
