Description
The Strategic Cloud Engineer will work with Google’s strategic customers on application development, modernization, and production launch projects, combining software engineering with technical consulting. Responsibilities include designing full-stack Google Cloud architectures, building and automating production-grade software and CI/CD pipelines, configuring container runtimes, leading customer discovery workshops, resolving complex engineering blockers, and packaging reusable architectural patterns. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, six years of customer-facing software engineering or technical consulting experience, and experience with container platforms and automated CI/CD pipelines. Approximately 30% of the time will be spent traveling for client engagements.
