Description
The Procurement Specialist will plan procurement, prepare and evaluate bids, ensure AEM processes are followed, develop bid packages with Operations, Engineering, and Construction, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement governance and category management. The role requires a college or bachelor’s degree in a relevant business, finance, accounting, law, marketing, or engineering sector; procurement certification is an asset; and experience in industrial or heavy industry is preferred. The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a possible 5-2-4-3 or 5-2 schedule, and involves remote work combined with on-site work in Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda, or Mirabel, plus 30% travel to mining sites, offices, or suppliers.
