Description
The Stroke Director will lead the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, maintain TJC Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation, coordinate stroke-care teams and clinical data, support quality improvement and peer review, serve as a medical liaison, and participate in clinical research. The role also includes direct patient care, acute stroke alert response, inpatient neurology consultation, outpatient care, and teaching or supervision of residents, mid-level providers, and medical students. Qualifications include a medical degree, New York medical licensure, an active NYS DEA, board certification or eligibility in neurology, and preferred vascular neurology fellowship and stroke-provider and stroke-center leadership experience.
