Description
AST SpaceMobile is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to perform structural analysis of spacecraft, including building finite element models, running static and quasi-static analyses in FEMAP and NASTRAN, defining failure cases, calculating margins of safety, supporting architecture and trade studies, and translating loads into qualification testing. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, at least seven years of spacecraft structural-analysis experience, and U.S. citizenship due to ITAR requirements; an MS degree is preferred and domestic and international travel is required.
