Description
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking a structural/bridge engineer to serve as the responsible-charge engineer for evaluating, designing, detailing, constructing, maintaining, and rehabilitating concrete and steel structures and bridges. The role includes preparing and reviewing structural plans under AASHTO and VDOT standards, calculating material quantities and costs, providing construction support, managing bridge design and rehabilitation projects, coordinating consultants and internal teams, developing schedules and scopes of work, and ensuring compliance with engineering policies, regulations, and the Code of Virginia.
