The role performs bridge calculations, analysis, design, technical writing, design checking, project budgeting, business development, and team mentoring, while also requiring travel, overtime during deadlines, and regular outdoor work. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, at least 10 years of bridge engineering experience, and structural-engineering licensure in the state of primary practice or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
