Description
The Structural Engineer provides sealed calculations, repairs, telephone support, and single-member sizing; advises Plan Services on construction practices and design issues; supports claims against Technical Services and Engineered Wood Products; ensures compliance with building codes and standards; oversees technical bulletins, construction details, specifications, installation literature, and training; monitors product capacities and quality-control testing; and maintains design software and industry associations. The role requires a licensed Structural or Civil Professional Engineer, an engineering degree, 3–7+ years of experience depending on education, expertise in wood structures and engineered wood products, building-code knowledge, blueprint-reading ability, Microsoft Office proficiency, and training experience in construction or framing.
