AECOM is hiring an experienced Structural Engineer for its Building Engineering practice in the Roanoke, Virginia office. The role leads structural engineering deliverables for commercial and governmental facilities, performs calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports, conducts structural investigations, oversees construction administration, reviews interdisciplinary designs, develops engineering standards, mentors engineers, and represents the firm in client meetings. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, six years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience, and a valid Professional Engineer license recognized by a state licensing board; U.S. citizenship is required. A master’s degree, extensive commercial and institutional design experience, security clearance eligibility, major building-code knowledge, structural analysis software proficiency, concrete and steel design experience, communication skills, Revit and Bluebeam proficiency, and antiterrorism or blast-resistant design experience are preferred. Relocation assistance may be available, but U.S. employment authorization sponsorship is not available.
