Description

DOF Canada is hiring a Structural Engineer to perform structural design and analysis for offshore oil and gas and renewable projects, including vessel deck equipment seafastenings, load spreaders, installation appurtenances, and related tendering and project deliverables. The role reports to the Project Technical/Engineering Manager, collaborates with offshore and onshore teams, mentors graduate engineers, and may require international travel. Candidates need 3–5 years of marine project experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, a professional engineering license, and willingness to work onboard DOF vessels and travel to vessel mobilization sites.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Ocean, Structural, or equivalent engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 3–5 years of marine operations project planning and execution experience with structural design, vessel deck grillage, load spreaders, equipment seafastenings, and vessel mobilization oversight
Extensive experience planning and supervising marine crane lifts, including crane capacity and lift rigging design for 1–250 tons
Extensive offshore and subsea construction experience, including equipment and platform installations, vessel mobilizations, and equipment testing
Experience managing workflows for project technical deliverables
History of completing technical and operational project deliverables on schedule and in compliance with project requirements and design basis
