Description
Moffatt & Nichol is hiring a certified Team Lead with Professional Engineer licensure to oversee and inspect transportation and waterfront construction sites in the Norfolk, Virginia area. The role leads field inspections, condition assessments, construction observations, technical reports, proposals, specifications, and cost estimates; provides quality assurance reviews; and ensures compliance with the firm’s quality management system. The position requires a civil or structural engineering degree, Virginia Professional Engineer licensure or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity within six months, 4 to 7 years of structural inspection experience, and several FHWA/NHI and SNBI certifications. It is field-based five days per week, with occasional travel, weather exposure, and in-office report work on non-field days. The base salary is $88,000 to $115,000 for candidates working in the Virginia market.
