ALTEN is hiring a Structural Engineer to join its Manchester team and support nuclear-sector activities. The role involves designing and analysing reinforced concrete and steel structures for nuclear facilities and EPR power plants, performing structural calculations and modelling, supporting design changes, assessing structural integrity under seismic, dynamic, environmental, and construction loads, and providing technical support during construction. Candidates need strong reinforced-concrete design experience, nuclear or other highly regulated industry experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent military experience, and eligibility for UK BPSS security clearance.
