Description
Olsson is hiring a Structural Engineer – Substation to lead the structural design and analysis of substation foundations, steel structures, equipment supports, and related components. The role supports projects through conceptual design, detailed engineering, permitting, and construction administration; coordinates with electrical engineers and other disciplines; reviews junior designs; and participates in client meetings, contractor RFIs, and limited project-site travel. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering with a structural emphasis, at least six years of progressive structural engineering experience, experience with concrete foundations and structural steel, knowledge of relevant codes, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. PE licensure is preferred or obtainable within a reasonable timeframe, and the position offers flexible work arrangements and traditional full-time benefits.
