Additional Information

Minimum Education: B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required. MS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline preferred.
Required Previous Experiences: Minimum of 5 years of bridge inspection, analysis, load rating and/or design experience.
Preferred Qualifications: PE License preferred.
SE License in Illinois or ability and plan to obtain.
Successful completion of one or more of the following FHWA-NHI courses is preferred but not required: Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges
Experience working with IDOT, CDOT, ISTHA and/or Chicagoland local agencies preferred.
Strong communication and client relation skills.
Progressive experience with developing design drawings and utilizing MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
Ability to perform complex analysis and design.
Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
