Description
Hazen and Sawyer is hiring a Principal Structural Engineer for its Northeast and Midwest businesses, with primary focus on New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts offices. The role leads planning, design, permitting, construction, and technical leadership for water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure projects, including site inspections, design calculations, reports, plans, specifications, submittal reviews, and RFI responses. The position requires a civil or structural engineering degree, a PE license or ability to obtain one within six months, 5–12 years of related experience, and expertise in structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, aluminum, building codes, design standards, and structural analysis software. The work is hybrid, may require fieldwork and occasional travel, and includes staff mentoring and development opportunities.
