Description
Ford is hiring a Design and Release Engineer to lead the design and release of vehicle underbody structures, including frames, mounts, spare tire winches, and tow hooks. The role covers forward model development, design validation, DFMEA and PFMEA, prototype and PPAP builds, durability and functional issue resolution, supplier management, and production launch. Candidates need a mechanical engineering degree, at least two years of metal-component and structure experience, CAD/CAE and sheet-metal joining skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities. The position is onsite, may require four or more onsite days per week, and offers a base salary range of $74,300 to $166,200 with medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
