Description
BRE is hiring a Lead Structural Engineer to provide technical leadership for structural engineering, testing, assessment, inspection, and consultancy services. The role leads the Structural Technology team, manages resources and business objectives, develops client and regulatory relationships, represents BRE externally, prepares technical proposals and reports, applies structural engineering and fire-resistance standards, and supports laboratory and site activities. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, experience leading complex structural engineering activities, knowledge of BS and EN standards, structural mechanics, multidisciplinary team coordination, and structural fire design are required. The position is based onsite at BRE's Watford office and Science Park, with attendance expected four to five times per week.
