Relativity Space is hiring a Structures and Mechanisms Design Engineer to own the full design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing lifecycle of flight structures and mechanisms for the Terran R rocket, including thrust structures, propellant tanks, interstages, and fairings. The role involves conceptualizing load paths, reviewing static and dynamic loads, sizing structures, supporting hardware test campaigns, developing manufacturing processes, and using NX/TeamCenter, Nastran, ANSYS, and hand calculations. Candidates need at least five years of design engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, CAD experience, structural analysis and testing knowledge, and at least one year of structural-strength experience. The hiring range is $132,000 to $198,000 USD.
