The MET - East Bay is hiring a full-time, in-person Student Assistance Counselor for a 2-day-per-week, 15-hour-per-week school-year position. The role supports students facing substance use, stress, trauma, and related challenges through prevention education, risk screening, brief interventions, early-intervention programs, reentry support, and collaboration with educators, families, and community partners. Candidates need a master’s degree in behavioral health, 1–2 years of supervised counseling experience with teens, knowledge of adolescent development and substance use, and strong documentation and communication skills. The position pays $22,052.93–$35,592.04 under a collective bargaining agreement.
