Description
The Setzer Student Center is hiring Student Assistants, Event Staff to support campus programs, meetings, and special events. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down events, moving tables, chairs, staging, and audio-visual equipment; providing on-site support; greeting and assisting guests; monitoring safety and policy compliance; communicating with supervisors and event organizers; and maintaining event spaces. The role requires a currently enrolled Lamar University student in good standing, dependability, punctuality, professional appearance and behavior, availability for evenings, weekends, and flexible schedules, comfort with light physical labor, teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills. Prior event, customer service, or hospitality experience and knowledge of campus facilities are preferred.
