Description
The Food Preparation Assistant reports to the food services supervisor or designee and assists cooks and cook helpers in preparing student meals. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing food preparation, storage, and dish rooms; supplying and transferring ingredients; preparing vegetables, salads, meats, breads, and desserts; and maintaining a safe, clean work area. Applicants must be current Earl C. Clements Job Corps students, ready for work-based learning, and able to obtain ServSafe certification or a food handlers permit within 90 days of employment.
