Description
The Student Nurse Technician supports registered nurses and the nursing care team with direct and indirect patient care in a high-activity hospital environment. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living, specimen collection, urinary catheter care, point-of-care testing, vital signs documentation in the electronic medical record, infection prevention, patient safety, reporting changes in patient status, and performing EKG or phlebotomy duties as assigned. Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited ASN or BSN nursing program and obtain American Heart Association BLS certification within 60 days of hire; CNA, acute care, EPIC, phlebotomy, and EKG experience are preferred.
