McGill University's Department of English is hiring a part-time Student Research Assistant for a SSHRC-funded project on wartime textiles as sites of communication, memory, and cultural history. The assistant will conduct archival and bibliographical research, audit collections, identify wartime knitting patterns and related historical sources, manage annotated bibliographies, support academic presentations and a writer residency, and contribute to a publication and dissemination report. The role runs from September 1 through December 22, 2026, for approximately 10 hours per week at $20–$25 per hour, and requires archival research experience, Zotero or EndNote, Microsoft Office, written French, and textile-making experience is welcomed.
