Vast is hiring a full-time, exempt Subcontracts Specialist, IT/Software in its Long Beach location to support the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. The role coordinates IT needs and subcontracting strategies, develops procurement plans, sources and evaluates suppliers, negotiates software and hardware contracts, manages the procurement lifecycle, monitors supplier performance, and collaborates with IT, Legal, customers, and senior leadership. Candidates need software and IT contract negotiation, RFP and delivery-schedule, indirect procurement, and SaaS or hardware negotiation experience, plus a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. The position offers a $106,000–$151,000 California pay range, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and requires up to 20% travel and availability for evenings or weekends.
