Description
The Substitute Teacher provides a warm, nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children ages birth to five while a regular classroom teacher is absent. The role covers individual and small-group developmentally appropriate activities, classroom discipline, child care, family communication, record keeping, and assigned kitchen or cleaning duties. It reports to the Center Manager and requires a high school diploma or GED, DCF 45-hour training and child-care experience preferred, current First Aid and CPR training, and completion of required screenings and food-handling training. The position offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 403(b) match, paid time off, and other benefits, with a salary of $16.59 to $18.37.
