Description
Community Medical Services is hiring a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor for a Monday-Friday 7:30 AM–3:30 PM outpatient shift. The role supports patients recovering from opioid and other substance use disorders through individual and group counseling, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, care coordination, referrals, documentation, and family or natural-support involvement. Candidates must meet one of several education and experience pathways, including a high school diploma or GED with qualifying education or behavioral health experience, an associate degree with two years of behavioral health work experience, or a bachelor's degree with one year of behavioral health work experience, along with knowledge of crisis intervention, DSM-5, community resources, and clinical procedures.
