Description
The Substation Construction Manager oversees and directs on-site construction for electrical substation projects, including greenfield, brownfield, expansion, and upgrade work. The role leads field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, and commissioning teams; develops construction plans; manages safety, schedule, productivity, quality, cost, and contract activities; coordinates utilities and engineering teams; and supports energization and project closeout. The position requires at least eight years of electrical substation or transmission and distribution experience, strong substation construction knowledge, field leadership experience, electrical safety expertise, and the ability to read construction drawings and travel extensively.
