HDR is hiring a Substation Project Engineer to execute technical project deliverables for electrical substation projects of basic to moderate complexity. The role includes designing substation layouts, grounding, conduit and cable systems, equipment wiring diagrams, calculations, specifications, and reports; coordinating with civil, structural, and transmission-line teams; guiding junior staff; performing quality reviews; and conducting site visits during design, construction, and as-built phases. The position requires an engineering bachelor's degree, a Professional Engineer license, project execution experience in the Power Market Sector, and strong familiarity with Microsoft Office and power-sector design software. Some travel may be required, with preference for candidates near Irvine, California.
