Description
HDR Engineering is looking for a Substation Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in high-voltage substation design, including both physical and protection/control design. They will be responsible for supporting scope preparation, scheduling, budget management, and ensuring timely completion. The role involves understanding various aspects of substation design such as yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, and control building arrangements. Additionally, they will prepare calculations for studies and reports, define equipment specifications, and coordinate design activities across different departments. The engineer will also need to effectively communicate with managers and clients, and potentially lead, mentor, or supervise junior engineers.
