Description

HDR is hiring a Substation Project Engineer to execute technical project deliverables for low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical substation projects. The role involves developing physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable routing and sizing, grounding designs, equipment wiring diagrams, specifications, calculations, reports, and engineering drawings; coordinating with civil, structural, and transmission line teams; reviewing quality; mentoring junior staff; and conducting site visits through design, construction, and as-built phases. A bachelor's degree in engineering, a professional engineering license, project execution experience in the Power Market Sector, and engineering design software skills are required. The preferred profile includes at least five years of substation design experience, familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software such as CDEGS, and location near Las Vegas or Phoenix.
