AltaLink is hiring a full-time permanent Substation Technologist/Substation Electrician for its Transmission Field Operations team in Rocky View County, Alberta. The role operates, inspects, maintains, and troubleshoots 4160V–500KV transmission substation equipment; supports maintenance planning, capital upgrades, new technologies, emergency responses, and junior-employee mentoring. Candidates must reside in the Calgary area, hold a related technologist diploma, have relevant experience, and possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license. The position is physically demanding and requires willingness to work in adverse weather, at heights, and on-call.
