Description
The Downey Unified School District is accepting applications for part-time, on-call, as-needed Substitute Sign Language Interpreter positions. The interpreters provide total-communication services in mainstream K-12 classrooms, translating and interpreting written and spoken educational materials, test responses, recitations, and reports; supporting teachers and students; assisting with IEP implementation; and performing related classroom and administrative duties. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and certification from a recognized interpreter credentialing body with a score of 4.0 or above.
