Description
The Special Education Paraprofessional assists a special education teacher with classroom instruction, lesson preparation, individual and small-group academic support, behavior modification, student supervision, testing, instructional materials, and classroom organization. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus one of several academic qualifications, with instructional assistant experience desirable and first-aid or CPR certification desirable. The position involves indoor and outdoor work, extended sitting, walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 20 pounds, and significant hand dexterity.
