Description
The Substitute Teacher provides as-needed coverage for a Head Start classroom serving children ages 3 to 4, working with another teacher and supporting 14 to 20 children across various locations in the county. Responsibilities include following the curriculum, planning learning experiences, maintaining safe supervision, supporting social and emotional development, encouraging family involvement, and following center policies. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, physical and background screening, basic computer literacy, the ability to lift a 40-pound child 20 times daily if needed, and CPR and First Aid certification; an AA/BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
