Shield AI is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the design, development, testing, and validation of mechanical systems for its autonomous UAV products, including X-BAT and V-BAT. The intern will own requirements gathering, design and validation of test stands and fixtures, develop tooling for environmental testing, specify environmental-test-chamber facilities, and participate in cross-functional design reviews. The role is intended for undergraduate, graduate, or PhD students in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field and offers $38–$65 per hour, a housing stipend, mentorship, company events, and a possible job offer.
